Since winning several major chamber music competitions, the Jupiter String Quartet has performed from one side of North America to the other, receiving glowing reviews and standing ovations. Highly regarded for their ability to play as one, they interpret music with a polished maturity beyond their years; yet their execution is infused with their youthfulness and delight in playing together. This program features both familiar composers – Beethoven, Haydn, and Shostakovich – and a work by Sofia Gubaidulina, commissioned by the Sibelius Quartet.
