Saturday, April 13, 2024, 7:30 pm
Gabriel Bianco is considered one of the finest classical guitarists in the world. He began playing the guitar with his father when he was five years old. At 17, he was unanimously admitted to the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris. Since then, Gabriel has won first prize in several international competitions; has performed in over fifty countries; and has recorded eight CDs.
Although this concert is sold out, tickets may be available at the door as a result of no-shows. If you wish to get on the waiting list for tickets to a Sold Out show, please arrive at the Old Church by 6:30pm to put your names on the waiting list. At 7:20pm, we assess the number of empty seats, and sell as many tickets as there are chairs available.
Tickets at the door, if available, are $30
Musical Mission
The all-volunteer Corrales Cultural Arts Council (CCAC) created the Music in Corrales series in 1986 as a musical offering to the Corrales community. The series was conceived as a way of preserving New Mexico’s vast musical and cultural heritage, and a way to create a new one as well. What was started by a few dedicated persons who recognized the importance of music to people’s lives, has grown to an organization that brings exceptional musicians to the Historic Old San Ysidro Church where the audience is no longer just neighbors. Local residents and guests from the middle Rio Grande Valley share the evening with visitors from other states and further abroad.
The hope of the CCAC has been that everyone could enjoy a sampling of the world’s finest musical performances in a stunning New Mexican location at affordable prices. Still an all-volunteer group of involved members, we are pleased to see that dream continuing to grow and flourish in such a wonderful way.
Music in Schools
Corrales Cultural Arts Council (CCAC ) recognizes that each child is an individual; that all children are creative; that all children need to succeed. We are committed to fostering a sense of community as well as offering the highest level of musical performance and instruction. Our hope is to provide students of all ages with the skills they need to enjoy music for a lifetime. Read more…
